The International English Library is run by the non-profit association Friends of the International Library e.V..
Founded in 1946, the British Council gave this library to the people of Düsseldorf. Since February 1999, it has been managed by the Friends of the International Library e.V..
In addition of maintaining our extensive collection of English language literature and media, we are dedicated to providing a welcoming space for diverse communities to connect, learn, and grow through literature and cultural exchange.
With a vibrant committee and dedicated volunteers, we strive to foster a sense of belonging and promote literacy in an inclusive environment.
By becoming a member of the Friends of the International Library e.V., you can actively support the aims and goals of our important institution in accordance with its Articles.
As a member of our association you will play an essential role in the continuity and future of the library, and your annual 15 EUR Friends fee will help us continue to host a range of events, exhibitions, special projects and programs for the English-speaking cultural community here in Dusseldorf.
